About us
Bedding with nothing printed on it.
Brixalor makes three pieces of bedding in stonewashed linen: a duvet cover, a sheet set and a pair of pillowcases. Each comes in four solid colours and the usual US bed sizes. There are no prints, no patterns and no seasonal collections; what changes from one piece to the next is the colour.

Why plain linen
Linen is the most interesting thing about linen bedding. It is cool in summer, it gets softer every time it is washed, and it creases in a way that looks lived-in rather than untidy. A print on top of that hides the cloth; we would rather you saw it.
Keeping to three pieces and four colours means everything goes with everything. A Chalk sheet set works under a Charcoal duvet cover; Dusk pillowcases work on an Oat bed. You can build a bed over time without worrying that the next piece will not match.
Who makes it
We do not own a mill or a sewing room. We choose the linen, the colours, the sizes and the details (the 2 cm flange, the coconut-shell buttons, the depth of the fitted sheet), and a linen workshop sews, dyes, stonewashes and finishes every piece to that specification. We say so because it matters when you decide who to buy from: the choices, and the responsibility for what arrives, are ours.
The Care & Materials page sets out exactly what each piece is made of and how to look after it.

What we will not claim
- That it will stay smooth. Linen creases as soon as you use it; stonewashing makes it soft, not crease-free.
- That two pieces bought months apart will match exactly. Natural flax varies, and dye lots can differ by a shade.
- That it is soft as sateen on the first night. New linen has some texture; it softens over the first few weeks of washing.
- That linen never sheds. It gives off some lint in its first washes.
